I'm a documentary wedding photographer based in South Yorkshire, photographing weddings across the UK and beyond. I'm drawn to wedding days that feel unforced and human - where connection comes first and moments are given the space to unfold naturally.
Originally from Cheshire, I now live in a small village in South Yorkshire with my wife, Larissa.
Outside of weddings, I'm usually planning our next trip, watching films, discovering new places to eat or drawing inspiration from the culture and environments around us.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer than James. From the very start, he felt like part of our team – down to earth, easy to connect with, and genuinely invested in making our day unforgettable.
James didn’t just photograph the day – he helped shape it. He effortlessly organised the flow, stepped in wherever needed, and brought such a calming presence that instantly put us at ease.
We felt so comfortable in front of the camera – nothing felt staged or awkward. The entire day was filled with laughter, fun, and the most breathtaking scenery.
We truly couldn’t recommend James enough.”
